Here’s a summary of the event and artwork.  Hopefully the pictures tell their own story of our Launch Event at Keele on 5th & 6th August.  Thanks to everyone who came along to show their support and who got ‘inspired by nature’ and creative with thescapeartists.   Special thanks to David Emley who brought us bags of leaves for nature printing and imprinting from the Keele arboretum.  But of course most thanks to our collaborating artists Jacqui, Jon, Katrina who helped host the event with Jake – who all gave their time for free!  Well done to those who tried the Nordic walking too.  

Thanks also to those from the Keele campus that hit ‘Esc’ and came down to see us, we look forward to working with you when we take up tenancy in Home Farm Nova Centre from September.  We are so very proud to be the first ‘social enterprise’ (community interest company) to take up residence at the Keele business park/innovation centre.  Let’s hope we can bring some ‘social innovation’ to community health and wellbeing at Keele and throughout Staffordshire, using our art and green exercise initiatives!

Many thanks to friends and family who helped set-up and clean down over the 2 day event, but especially for all your rock solid support over the last few years.

We will very shortly be adding a whole schedule of ‘art’ and ‘green exercise’ events and activities to our Events Schedule in conjunction with our collaborating artists and activity leaders.  Remember that activities will be open to everyone for ‘pleisure’ (leisure and pleasure), as well as those specifically looking for the health and wellbeing benefits – hopefully you will get both!  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For those of you who made pots and would like to collect them – they are now fired and ready for collection from Keele Sustainability Hub Reception (see Jordan).

We will shortly be announcing future creative courses with the artists (including a weekend pottery experience with Jon French) – so keep checking our Events Calendar for details and prices.

Fees from the creative courses will help make our social enterprise sustainable through trading, so we can continue to offer health benefits within community.  Some activities will be free and some will be chargeable, however we aim throughout to offer high quality experiences, with well trained activity leaders and talented artists.  We also aim to deliver these in the nicest, most therapeutic green spaces available in our area.
