Human-Nature Virtual Escapes|  Digital Wellbeing Platform

Welcome to ‘Human-Nature Virtual Escapes’.  

Our ‘virtual nature escapes’ and co-created digital wellbeing e-books emerged out of our project’s COVID response – to help people who were (are) experiencing difficulties in escaping to nature physically, due to pandemic restrictions, and especially those key workers and NHS staff facing the stresses of COVID on the front-line.  It’s our way of offering support to those who may be struggling at this time — and a way to say ‘Thank You’ to our key workers.

The wellbeing resources presented here as digital e-book videos have been co-created by HumanNature and kind contributors from individuals all around the UK.  The idea is to support each other, and lift our spirits.  

This digital platform allows you to navigate your way around these therapeutic e-books as wellbeing resources.  It allows you a short respite ‘escape’ from mental stresses, workload pressures, or the general busyness of everyday modern life.  We don’t pretend that these should replace physically getting out into nature or exploring the health benefits of your local landscapes.  However, they might offer a digital alternative, for times when that’s not possible.

 

Please feel free to share a link to this page to friends, family and colleagues who may benefit from these digital resources as a way to de-stress.

Thanks to the very many contributors across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, who took the time and effort to produce uplifting photo messages and inspiring stories which helped us co-create these truly collaborative e-books.  Hopefully they are ‘works of art’ in their own right.  A true celebration of our appreciation of UK nature and landscapes, and how these have helped us through the pandemic period, as our way to ‘escape’.
