A country park with has been reclaimed from the scars of its industrial past.  Largely an open grassland with plateaus formed from the colliery spoils, with large pool surrounded by steep embankments, plus some recently planted woodland areas which are now becoming more established.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A near neighbour to the adjacent Apedale Country Park, but probably a little less well known.  We suspect the villagers from Silverdale are trying to keep this park a bit of a secret – but it’s well worth a visit for its peaceful tranquility and its sense of space.
