About me | look again
Ruth uses photography for the health and wellbeing of people and planet; to encourage people to see their life, work and world differently, as well as to challenge the status quo.
“I work with people to stop, look, look again, and see with new eyes. Through personal experience of dealing with grief and depression, I have used photography, nature and mindfulness as a way to heal myself. I hope to inspire others to do the same. I believe we all need to have the strength to be vulnerable, to face our fears, to explore our inner selves, and to then take action, using our gifts and working together to create a greener, fairer and happier world. I believe we can use creativity and nature to make a difference.”
Ruth brings a passion for photography together with 20 years experience of working as a project manager and facilitator with NGOS, social enterprises and businesses involved with international, business and community development in London, Africa, Bristol and the South West of England. She now runs her business Look Again, based in Gloucestershire.
Simplicity, integrity, equality, peace and the earth are at the heart of her work. She offers photography commissions, workshops, participatory projects and interactive talks with a special focus on health, wellbeing, sustainability, and social justice. Recent clients include the Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Crisis, The National Trust, The Green Party, Eradicate Ecocide, The Lloyds Bank Foundation, Resurgence Magazine, Quakers in Britain, and many charities, businesses and social enterprises.
