Nordic Walking | weekend wellbeing walks
Once you’ve completed the ‘Walk This Way’ Learn to Nordic Walk Course, you instantly have free membership of our Human-Nature Nordic Walking Group.

Saturday 10th February – Meet at Trentham – 9.00am to 10.00am (+ optional 1/2 hour extra fitness walk)
Saturday 17th February – Meet at Barlaston – 9.00am to 10.00am (+ optional 1/2 hour extra fitness walk)
Saturday 24th February – Meet at Aston – 9.00am to 10.00am (+ optional 1/2 hour extra fitness walk)
Saturday 3rd March – Meet at Festival Park – 9.00am to 10.00am (+ optional 1/2 hour extra fitness walk)
As well as our Saturday walks over the Spring, Summer and Autumn we’ll be adding weekday/weekday evening walks. It’s a great way to socialise and keep fit – and a green gym is much nicer than an indoor gym!
Making that effort to commit to a weekly walk and not let the group down – keeps you motivated!

Walks are supervised and led by our Qualified Instructor, meaning you don’t have to worry about planning the next route.
We’re fully equipped to provide the poles, you’re covered by insurance, and we keep a watchful (but friendly) eye on your technique – just to ensure you don’t fall into any bad habits. We can include periodic video analysis and feedback – so you can see how you are walking. We’ll also do regular reminders of the 10 steps, supervise warm-ups and cool-downs – and we’ll do some occasional timed loop walk circuits (so you can see if you’re getting any faster!).
As well as keeping things fresh with different landscape locations, we’ll vary the terrain and walk on mixed surfaces, from park tracks to forest trails, doing flat work and some occasional hill work.
Nordic Walking Prices | what’s included
Our walk charges/prices include:
- Walk planning and organisation – including route planning and risk assessment
- Trained Nordic walk leader – British Nordic walking trained instructor, with outdoor first aid training
- Ongoing instructional advice on maintaining and improving technique (and technique refresher as required)
- Supply of walking poles to suit your height (including ongoing cleaning and maintenance of pole equipment)
- Provision of refreshments (for longer landscape walks)
PAY AS YOU WALK :
Weekday Evening Wellbeing Walk (1 hour) | £7.50 (or £6.00 with own poles)
Weekend Saturday Morning Wellbeing Walk (1 hour + optional 1/2 hour extra fitness walk) | £7.50 (no reduction for own poles)
Weekend Saturday Morning Landscape Walk (2 hour includes refreshments) | £10.00 (no reduction for own poles)
